0. Introduction 简介

English: This Privacy Policy ("Policy") describes how the browser extension ("Extension", "we", "us") may collect, use, store, and protect user information when you install and use our Extension. By installing and using this Extension, you agree to the practices described in this Policy. Each of our extensions is designed as a single-purpose productivity tool.

English: To perform their primary functions, our Extensions may need to access specific page content or browser capabilities. The table below summarizes what data each product accesses in its core workflow and whether that data leaves your device:

1. Information We Collect 数据收集

English: Depending on the product, we may collect only anonymous, non-personally identifiable usage data to improve our services. If data collection is enabled for a specific product, it may include the following information:

• Anonymous User ID: A unique identifier generated locally using a standard random UUID method when the Extension is first installed. This ID cannot be used to identify you personally.
• Environment Information: Browser type, operating system, and language setting.
• Domain Visit Statistics: The main domain names (e.g., taobao.com, jd.com) extracted from pages you visit when you click the download button. Only the domain name is recorded — specific URLs, page paths, page content, and query parameters are NOT collected or transmitted to any server. This data is collected by default to help us understand which e-commerce platforms our users prefer.
• Feature Usage Statistics: Counts of how often you use the core features of the Extension (if applicable).
• Hourly Activity Data: Aggregated hourly activity patterns for analyzing peak usage times.
• Error Logs: Anonymized error reports (with URLs and local paths stripped) for troubleshooting purposes.

Browser data used locally by DownPictures New Tab workspace:

• Bookmarks: Used only inside the local New Tab workspace to display and organize user-selected business bookmarks, such as product source sites, supplier links, competitor stores, or sourcing platforms. Bookmark creation or movement occurs only when the user performs that action. Bookmark data is not uploaded, sold, or shared.
• Top Sites: Used only to display browser-provided frequently visited site candidates as local shortcut suggestions. The Extension does not upload the top sites list and does not use it for unrelated purposes.
• Search: Used only when the user types in the New Tab search box and chooses the browser default search option. The Extension does not read or change the default search engine, does not take over address bar search, and does not store or upload search keywords to our servers.
• Favicons: Used only to show site icons for shortcuts, bookmarks, recent product records, and product source pages. This does not read page body content and is not used to track browsing paths.

What we do NOT collect:

• Personal identity information (name, email, phone number, ID card, etc.)
• Browsing history or specific URLs visited for tracking/analytics purposes (note: some products may store product page URLs locally on your device for in-extension history features; such data never leaves your device)
• Bookmark contents, browser top sites lists, or New Tab search keywords for analytics, profiling, or advertising purposes
• Cookies, localStorage content, or session data
• Hardware fingerprints (Canvas, WebGL, screen resolution, etc.)
• Payment information or financial data
• Passwords or authentication credentials

2. How We Use Your Information 数据的使用方式

English: If any data is collected, it is used solely for the following purposes:

• Improving Extension functionality and user experience based on usage patterns
• Troubleshooting issues and fixing bugs through anonymized error reports
• Optimizing system performance and understanding user activity distribution
• Analyzing usage patterns to prioritize compatibility improvements and feature enhancements
• Providing local New Tab workspace features, including material records, shortcut access, bookmark organization, top site suggestions, default-browser search, and favicon display

We do NOT sell, rent, trade, or share your data with third parties for advertising, credit assessment, data brokerage, or any other commercial purposes. All data usage complies with Google Chrome Web Store's User Data Policy.

3. Third-Party Services & Data Transmission 第三方服务与数据传输

English: This section describes all third-party data transmissions that may occur when using our Extensions.

3.1 Our Analytics Server 我们的分析服务器

English: If data collection is enabled for a specific product, the aggregated, anonymized statistics described in Section 1 may be transmitted to our own analytics server(s) for processing and storage. When such transmission occurs, it is conducted exclusively over HTTPS/TLS encrypted connections to ensure data security during transit. The server receives only statistical aggregates — no personally identifiable information, no specific URLs, and no sensitive content is ever transmitted.

In addition, when the Extension is uninstalled, a non-identifiable uninstall event (containing only the anonymous UID) may be sent to help us understand user retention. This is handled via Chrome's chrome.runtime.setUninstallURL API.

3.2 Google Gemini API (ChatMemo / 聊记 only)

English: The 聊记 / ChatMemo extension sends user chat messages to the Google Gemini API in order to generate AI-powered responses. This transmission is essential to the product's core functionality. Key details:

• What is sent: Your chat messages (text input) and conversation context required to generate responses.
• How it is sent: Over HTTPS/TLS encrypted connections via Google's official API endpoints.
• Who processes it: Google LLC processes this data under its own privacy policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy). We do not store your chat messages on our own servers.
• Applicable only to: ChatMemo / 聊记. Other products listed in Section 0.1 do NOT send user content to Google Gemini or any third-party AI service.

3.3 Search Providers (DownPictures New Tab workspace only) 搜索服务（仅当图新标签页工作台）

English: If you use the search box in the DownPictures New Tab workspace, your search query is sent only when you actively submit it. When you choose the browser default search option, the browser handles the query through its default search provider. When you choose a fixed search option shown in the workspace, the Extension opens the corresponding search results URL. We do not store or upload New Tab search keywords to our own servers.

3.4 Services We Do NOT Use 我们不使用的服务

We do not use: Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any other third-party advertising/tracking SDKs within any of our Extensions.

4. Cookies and Local Storage Cookie 与本地存储

English: This Extension does not use traditional HTTP cookies. However, depending on the product, it may utilize the following browser storage technologies for local data management:

• chrome.storage.local: Stores user preferences, the anonymous UID, telemetry settings, and cached statistical data (retained for a limited time with automatic cleanup according to the product's retention policy).
• chrome.storage.local / local browser storage for DownPictures New Tab workspace: Stores local workspace preferences, shortcut settings, dismissed UI hints, recent material records, and image processing task state. These records remain on your device and are not shared with third parties.

All data stored locally remains on your device and is managed exclusively by the Extension. No third party can access this local storage.

5. Data Security 数据安全

English: If data is collected or stored, we implement the following security measures to protect your data:

• All data transmissions to our server use TLS/HTTPS encryption.
• Locally stored data is protected by the browser's sandbox mechanism and is inaccessible to websites or other extensions.
• All collected data is anonymized before transmission; no personal identifiers are included.
• Error logs are automatically sanitized to strip URLs and file paths before storage.
• Message passing between Extension components is validated (sender.id check) to prevent tampering by malicious sites or other extensions.

6. Data Retention 数据保留期限

English:

• Local Storage: Statistical data is retained locally for a limited period and automatically cleaned up according to a retention policy (e.g., successful uploads may be cleaned up sooner, while all local data is hard-cleared after a maximum retention period). Error logs are cleared after being uploaded, with a daily cap on the number of entries stored.
• DownPictures New Tab local workspace data: Local workspace preferences, shortcut settings, recent material records, and image processing task state remain on the user's device until the user clears Extension data, resets the relevant settings, or uninstalls the Extension.
• Server Side: Aggregated statistical data received by our server is retained according to our server data retention policy. Users may request data deletion by contacting us (see Section 9).
• Anonymous UID: Persists locally until the Extension is uninstalled or the user clears Extension data manually.

7. Your Rights 用户权利

English: You have control over your data within this Extension:

• Uninstall: Uninstalling the Extension will permanently remove all locally stored data associated with it.
• Data Deletion Request: You may contact us to request deletion of any server-side data associated with your anonymous UID (if applicable).
• Access & Export: You may request a copy of the data we have collected (if any) by contacting us via email.

8. Children's Privacy 儿童隐私

English: This Extension is a productivity tool and does not contain any adult, violent, or otherwise inappropriate content. It is intended for general audiences and does not specifically target children. However, if we become aware that personal information has been inadvertently collected from a child (under the applicable legal age in their jurisdiction), the child's parent or guardian should contact us immediately so that we can take prompt action to delete such data.
